Are you a pie fan? So are we. In celebration on America’s national pie day on the 23rd of January, we thought it would be an excellent opportunity to list some of Canberra’s fan favourites. 

Griffith Butchery

Firstly, we start with Griffith Butchery, a hidden gem tucked away at the Griffith shops, selling pies, pasties and sausage rolls ready to eat hot or take home and heat up for later. In October 2016, Griffith Butchery won two silvers and a bronze in the Official Great Aussie Pie Competition for their ‘Lamb Curry Pie’, ‘Mexican Chilli Beef Pie’ and their ‘Beef, Bacon and Cheese Pie’. Website.

Dobinson’s Bakery and Cafe is a famous bakery located in the heart of the CBD on Bunda Street, and are very well known for their delicious variety of pies and sausage rolls. You can find Dobinson’s across multiple locations around Canberra including Westfield Belconnen, Westfield Woden and South.Point Tuggeranong! Website.

Sweetie pies bakehouse 

You’ll find Sweetie Pies on Instagram @sweetiepies_bakehouse, an up and coming pie delivery service delivering sweet and savoury goodness to your front door! “Stress cannot exist in the presence of pie”, Sweetie Pies will be there for you any day of the week.

Three Mills 

Three Mill’s Bakery, selling artisan pastries and bakery goods ready to eat and to take home and bake. You’ll find Three Mills Bakery at Majura park Monday – Sunday and a pop up at the Captial Region Farmers Markets on Saturdays. We recommend trying the “Beef, Shiraz & Native Pepperberry Family Pie”! The public place 

The Public Place Cafe located in Chisholm is open for Breakfast and Brunch Monday through to Sunday and has been highly recommended for its delicious Pies including it’s Lamb Pie’s, Lasagne Pie’s, Pizza pie’s, plus more! A must if you’re looking for something different and delicious. Website.
