Canberra comes alive

A star studded line-up of Aussie musicians are set to perform right here in our nation’s capital for Australia Day Live ’08. The line-up promises to get crowds on the lawns of Parliament House grooving on Friday 25th January 2008.

Australia Day Live will bring together the Australian of the Year Awards 2008 with a celebrity concert featuring some of Australia’s hottest performers.

The live acts confirmed for the concert include Blue King Brown, Katie Noonan, Thirsty Merc, The Basics, Ben Lee, Gotye, Richard Clapton, Ricki Lee and The Veronicas.

Flying Food

Grilled prawns at a restaurant may sound delightful, but how about catching them in your mouth as the cook throws it at you? This may not be your idea of an intimate dinner but teppanyaki doesn’t claim to be that, instead, the Japanese style of cooking serves as a dinner-show and is truly an entertaining experience.

This unique style of cooking uses an iron griddle to cook food such as prawns, beef, omelette and rice. The word ‘Teppanyaki’ is derived from ‘teppan,’ which means ‘iron plate’ and ‘yaki’ which means grilled.
