OutInCanberra’s Favourite Face: Public Vote has launched online today, as part of the Myer Face of Canberra Racing competition at Thoroughbred Park.

Both competitions will be drawn in a runway event at Kamberra Wine Company Black Opal Stakes Day on Sunday, 7 March 2010.

OutInCanberra’s Favourite Face: Public Vote competition gives the community the opportunity to get behind a friend, relative or simply their ‘favourite face’ and make an impact.

Brother and sister duo Angus & Julia Stone won hearts with their debut album ‘A Book Like This’ and now they’re skipping back to Canberra as part of their new album tour, ‘And the Boys.’

Traveling has been an integral part of the Stone’s musical story so it’s not surprising they opted to record their new album ‘Down The Way’ in a number of diverse locations around the globe.

“The songs have been written all over the place. Stormy corners of backstage rooms, and rusty windows of old hotels in sleepy towns," Julia said.

On Saturday, 27 February Benjamin’s Restaurants will be transformed into an art gallery for a a special exhibition – Too much detail, something to watch out for – by local artists Adriana Seserko and Jason Van Wetering.

The young artists have united to serve up an eclectic combination of artistic flavours in surrealism, expressionism and contemporary fantasy, with all pieces for sale.
