The OutInCanberra Race ‘n’ Taste Festival is back in 2010, bringing you the very best of Canberra’s wine, produce, arts and music this Anzac Day long weekend, Monday 26 April at Thoroughbred Park.

Experience a market atmosphere along with the colour and excitement of Thoroughbred racing with an eight-race program.

Local wineries and local gourmet food stalls will be on show, allowing patrons to experience the culinary delights of what the Canberra region has to offer, plus cooking demonstrations and face painting and jumping castles for the kids.

There’s only four weeks until travelling regional music festival Groovin the Moo hits Canberra with a line-up rivalled by our big city counterparts – Vampire Weekend, Silverchair, Tegan & Sara and more.

With the first GTM taking place in 2005, in the town of Gloucester (just north of Newcastle) the festival has consistantly delivered on its ethos of bringing ‘the music’ to regional cities.

Stephen Halpin, GTM Promoter, said that taking the festival to a ‘capital city’ was an interesting decision for the team to make.

This year’s event will be hosting 11 world-class dance music acts, and plenty of local music talent at Canberra’s very own AIS Arena.

Alice O’Neill of Kicks Entertainment expressed her excitement to host dance heavy weights Bloody Beetroots, Steve Angello, Ferry Corsten and LFMAO.

On Sunday 11 April The Kitchen Cabinet at Old Parliament House is hosting two special culinary events.

The day begins at 11.00am with Talk & Taste – cooking with kid. Learn how to buy, prepare and serve this tasty and nutritious meat – and meet local producers of the finest cabrito. $20 per person – bookings essential.
