Ha Ha Bar is the OutInCanberra People’s Choice Award winner for Best Nightlife Venue 2010 and to celebrate, they’re throwing a party!

Ha Ha Bar’s Party to the People will kick off Sunday August 8th at 3pm and continue on into the evening.

"As a thank you to everyone who voted for us we’re sending back the love by offering complimentary beers and sparkling cocktails to get the party started. There will also be $5 Coronas and $5 Sparkling all afternoon AND a free BBQ," Co-owner, Aaron Ridley said.

La Bimbi Salons have recently launched their Winter Look-book which features key looks of the season, created by La Bimbi. The looks are inspired and edgy, just another reason why La Bimbi is hot on the hair scene.

Adding sparkle to their status, La Bimbi also recently worked on Christopher Esber’s show at Rosemount Australian Fashion Week. Specifically invited by La Biosthetique, the La Bimbi team were backstage twisting, twirling and playing with Australia’s leading models.

A new body of work by Linzie Ellis

Linzie Ellis was born in Canberra in 1985. Linzie completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts majoring in Painting at the ANU School of Art in 2008. As part of her studies she spent three months in London, studying at the Slade School of Fine art.

Linzie has exhibited her work in several group exhibitions nationally and in December 2009 was announced the winner of the Prospect Portrait Prize in South Australia. Linzie was recently named a recipient of the Australian Council of the Arts, Artstart Grant.

Stonefest 2010, line-up announced!

The Frontier Touring Company, in association with the University of Canberra’s entertainment division UC LIVE!, are thrilled to announce the lineup for this year’s hotly anticipated Stonefest festival scheduled for Saturday 30 October 2010 and held on the University’s grounds.

At 42 years of age, Stonefest is one of the nation’s veteran music festivals, if not the oldest, and this year sees it soar to new heights.
