Canberra’s new restaurant player

Pelagic is a Greek-derived word meaning, ‘open sea’. Googling the name before I attended the venue in Bailey’s Arcade, Canberra City (where that old Canberra stalwart Antigo’s used to be) didn’t assist me in uncovering any further information from such an intriguing name. I immediately thought seafood. And I was correct. If you’re thinking a selection of fish served with chips or salad, some calamari, prawns and squid, and scallops if you’re lucky – think again.

Lighting of the Christmas Tree

Event cancelled. Due to wet weather and for safety reasons this evening’s ‘Lighting of the Christmas Tree’ event in Civic Square has been cancelled. The Act Government apologise for any inconvenience.

Christmas festivities are sure to entertain the entire family with the official start of the festive season at the Lighting of the Christmas Tree in Civic Square, from 7pm on Friday 3 December.

WIN tickets to see Linkin Park @ AIS

Linkin Park have added a one-off Canberra show to their ‘A Thousand Suns’ Tour heading to Australia this December. The band will raise the roof of AIS Arena on Thursday, December 16. Tickets on sale 9am Thursday November 25 through Ticketek, with a Ticketek pre-sale beginning midday Tuesday November 23.
