Stepping into the newly refurbished Duxton at the O’Connor shops is like entering Goldilocks and the Three Bears house. You can smell the pastry, the chunky cut steak chips and the simmering of a Hungarian goulash coming from the kitchen. There is a warm glow that resonates on your cheeks and you immediately get a rumble in your belly signaling to you that it is time to get a drink, sit down in front of the fire and tuck into a full bowl of home-made pub grub goodness.

Spend an evening with the legendary UK comic John Cleese; star of Monty Python and Fawlty Towers.

The comedian is coming to Canberra on the weekend of the 14th April 2012 to the Canberra Theatre.

Cleese describes his own one-man show as ‘an evening of well honed anecdotes, psychoanalytical tit-bits, and unprovoked attacks on former colleagues, especially Michael Palin.’

Event Recap: Tijuana Cartel @ Transit Bar

The weather had the ability to dampen more than our umbrellas but that didn’t stop a large crowd gathering in the ‘quaint’ underground Transit Bar for Tijuana Cartel on Saturday just past.

You never know what to expect on St. Patrick’s Day. But on this occasion it was clear that every person in this bar were all experiencing the same thing.
