Canberra Nara Candle Festival 2013

Lennox Gardens will shimmer to life under the light of 2,000 candles as Japanese and Australian cultures unite at the 11th annual Canberra Nara Candle Festival. This year’s festival celebrates the 20th anniversary of Canberra’s sister city relationship with Nara, Japan.

Saturday’s event will feature additional lighting across the park, and activities which can be enjoyed by the whole family such as ikebana and drumming workshops, calligraphy, origami, lantern making, kite flying, martial arts and sumo wrestling demonstrations.
