I rose this morning for breakfast (Urban Remedy’s ‘Zingy Carrot Juice’) with the feeling that something was missing. No, it wasn’t ‘solids’, but rather my morning coffee that typically drags my senses into focus before heading off to work. The carrot juice proved a worthy substitute, though – it’s zesty flavour stimulating the palate even if caffeine remained absent.
It’s a French movie based on a Tony award-winning Broadway play, that itself was initially based on a novel by Leopold von Sacher-Masoch. Venus in Fur is Roman Polanski’s adaptation of the story, brilliantly performed by Emmanuelle Seigner and Mathieu Amalric.
