The 2015 Fashfest Model Call

On Sunday, exactly 300 aspiring models gathered at the National Convention Centre to take part in the Model Call for this year’s Fashfest.

From what started as a ‘pretty good idea’ two years ago, it’s incredible to see the growth of what is now the one and only fashion event for Canberra. By the time the 2015 edition kicks of on 13 May, we can expect a show that is bigger and better again. It’s incredibly exciting!

Unfold and Construct solo exhibition—Phoebe Porter

For more than a decade, jeweller Phoebe Porter has created exquisite pieces of contemporary jewellery with selected industrial materials, a sophisticated and restrained approach and the refined hand skills of an experienced and confident craftsperson.

Porter graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Gold and Silversmithing) at ANU School of Art in 2001. Her work has been acquired for a number of public collections, including the Art Gallery of South Australia and the Powerhouse Museum. Porter has received a number of awards and grants throughout her career.
