We hope your cameras and appetites are ready. If your algorithm is anything like ours, your social media feed may be dominated by 30cm long fries, Dubai chocolate and Raising Cane’s dupes. Us Canberrans now get the opportunity to experience it all in real life.

The Viral Food Festival is officially coming to town for one epic weekend at Thoroughbred Park from March 27th to March 29th. The festival is bringing with it more than 50 of the internet’s most famous street eats to make up the ultimate “cheat weekend” we’ve been waiting for.

Your “For you page” Come to Life

Standard festival foods can be forgotten; this event is all about the trending sensations that have racked up millions of views. Whether you’re a savory hunter or have a massive sweet tooth, the lineup is packed:

  • The Savory Stars: We strongly recommend diving into Cheese Burger Spring Rolls, the legendary Big Mac Taco, or the Paratha Burger, a Dubai favorite that swaps a standard bun for flaky, buttery paratha roti.
  • The Dupes: If you’ve been craving American classics and have been unable to justify flying 12,000kms for them, Viral Food Festival is here to help. The Raising Cane’s Dupe (complete with that clucking sauce and Texas toast) and Disney-style Churros are sure to scratch that itch.
  • The Sweets: Further down the list of vendors, be sure to expect the world-famous Dubai Bubble Waffle (loaded with kataifi pastry and pistachio cream), Dubai Chocolate Strawberries, and Cheesecake on a Stick dipped in everything from chocolate to Biscoff.
  • The “Must-Snaps”: If you enjoy taking photos of your weekends as much as we do, the perfect opportunities will present themselves in the shape of 30cm Fries, Glow-in-the-Dark Candy, and Bulb Soda served in unique lightbulb-shaped bottles.

Beyond the Feed and Food

It’s not just about the food (though we wouldn’t blame you if it was). The festival is packing Thoroughbred Park with a massive entertainment schedule:

  • For the Thrill-Seekers: Take a spin on the Giant Ferris Wheel or challenge your mates to Carnival Games.
  • Live Action: Live wrestling, roving performers, and a rotating lineup of live bands and DJs throughout the weekend.
  • For the Kids: A dedicated kids’ zone featuring teacups, a mini-Ferris wheel, and jumping castles.
  • Market Stalls: Take a break from eating to browse a curated selection of artisans and handmade goods.
