Soundwave Cancelled: The Australian Festival Paradigm Shift

Driving home from work yesterday I was dumbfounded by the news that Soundwave Festival had been cancelled due to low ticket sales. Then all of a sudden I felt a little déjà vu as I thought back to how many music festivals had been cancelled this year.

In recent years we have seen a rise in the number of boutique festivals offering more than just the experience of music and live performers; the modern festival is now an experience of escape from the hustle and bustle of city life offering a place to kick back and relax with friends in a secluded location.

Theatre Review – Cirque du Soleil: QUIDAM

Cirque du Soleil is known for bringing wonder and delight to it’s audiences… and that, it did.

We attended the latest Cirque du Soleil production,QUIDAM, at the AIS Arena this week and experienced such fantastic talent that had us entertained beyond the hours before our eyes. A production put together so great, not one flaw in sight.

CARDIF has transformed an unused, tired and lonely space into a collaborative creative space featuring 12 fashion designer studios and a central retail area, formally called CARDIF Collective.
