Kim Mordaunt has been kicking around the Australian indie film-making scene for well over a decade, honing his skills on well-received non feature releases that explore Australia’s immigrant and Indigenous cultures.

Following on from 2007’s Bomb Harvest, that tracked the efforts of a bomb disposal expert doing his best to repair the ravaged countryside of Laos, there is a clear progression from Western Sydney with its multicultural population through to the lands of their origin.

Canberra has an established music scene that has nurtured all manner of successful songwriters, bands, DJs and producers over the last few decades. From The Gadflys to The Whitlams to Alchemist to Aston Shuffle, Super Best Friends and hot new kids SAFIA, our city continuously sends talented citizens to the Big Smoke to take on bigger and better adventures.

After a massive debut outing in 2012, MusicACT is again bringing us MusicACT Annual Music Awards, otherwise known as the MAMAs.
