The May Lane Project

The May Lane Project is an outdoor gallery space located in St Peters in Sydney’s inner west and is coming to the Belconnen Arts Centre from 6th July to 12th August 2012.

The project started in 2005 as an initiative of Tugi Balog, a local businessman who turned the exterior walls on his business premises into a site-specific gallery for street artists.

exhibition showcases a selection of street created at May Lane between 2005 and 2009 by legendary Australia graffiti artists and celebrated international street artists.

Word of Mouth: encounters with abstract art

The exhibition Word of Mouth: encounters with abstract art is at the Canberra Museum and Gallery from 23/6/12 to 19/8/12.

The artists in the exhibition are encounters with abstract art and range from recent graduates of the Australian University of Art to some of the most significant contemporary practitioners in the country.

The works include glass, painting, print-media and sculpture and many of them explore themes of cellular and crystalline structure.

The Voice winner: Karise Eden

Here is your chance to meet The Voice winner Karise Eden! The new star will be performing live at Westfield Belconnen on Sunday 8th July 2012 at 12.30pm, presented by Woolworths.

Karise will be performing and signing copies of her new album, T-shirt or poster.

On Tuesday 26th June, Karise’s debut album My Journey will be released everywhere. It is a collection of the songs performed on the show including Karise’s winner’s single ‘You Won’t Let Me’.

Give Ability Day @ Westfield Belconnen

On Saturday 7th July help raise funds for local children and families living with a disability at ‘Give Ability Day’ at Westfield Belconnen.

All money raised on the day will go to local charity, Cerebral Palsy Alliance ACT and this day will be taking place across 37 Westfield centres around Australia.
