Little Red @ Australia Day Live

Joining the likes of Thirsty Merc, Jessica Mauboy and the McClymonts, Melbourne indie pop sensation Little Red are bringing their infectious tunes to Australia Day Live.

Having previously played at the ANU Bar, the boys are looking forward to returning and belting out some of their biggest hits, including crowd favourite Rock It off latest album, Midnight Remember.

“Rock It always gets the best reception,” says Tom Hartney (vocals, percussion). “We’ve never experienced anything like it before. When we start playing it the crowd goes bananas!”

Fundraiser for Omar Musa @ Transit Bar

Transit Bar welcomes hip-hop back in 2011 with a special album fundraiser event for local hip-hop legend Omar Musa.

Hailing from Queanbeyan, Omar Musa is a rapper and poet who has won numerous awards and continues to make impressive inroads both within Australia and overseas.

Following sporadic collaborations during university in California, Omar Musa and friend Mighty Joe completed a successful Indonesian tour and decided to form hip-hop duo MoneyKat.

The gig on Saturday 8th January is to raise funds to support their quest of recording an album in California and Seattle, USA.
