Move over America’s Next Top Model, the search for the next Myer Face of Canberra Racing has begun!

With style, finesse and sophistication, the Myer Face of Canberra Racing is much more than a ‘model,’ she’s the package. The winning face will go onto represent Thoroughbred Park at VIP events, in the local fashion scene and on Canberra Racing advertising material, posters, brochures, and websites.

She will also be required to make appearances at various cocktail parties and functions hosted by Thoroughbred Park.

AMC’s hit TV series Mad Men has gained millions of fans by tackling explicit themes like sex, money and power in the 60’s, but it’s the sharp and era accurate costume design that really bring these characters to life.

Give prissy the boot

The 90’s are the new 80’s and in fashion we know what goes around, comes around. At least that’s the case this season, with the beloved Doc Martins cult high-top style making a mammoth comeback.

Much of this trend can be credited to Agyness Deyn, who has been sporting her own Docs since she launched into the scene in 2007.

So how do you re-live the 90’s without looking too, well 90’s? Team the boots with a mini skirt, skater dress or short floral dress. This time around the look is about ‘legs,’ so don’t wear them with jeans unless you want to look masculine.

Australia Day Live 2010 @ Parliament House

Australia Day Live entertained the masses on the lawns of Parliament House when some of our brightest young starts took to the stage on Monday 25 January.

The first half of the concert was sponsored by Video Hits, with host ‘Fuzzy’ announcing from a cherry picker, overlooking the thousands strong audience.

The electro-pop sounds of up-and-coming stars Amy Meredith kicked off the festivities, with Idol rock favourite Hayley Warner following closely behind.

The new Pol Roger Sculpture Bar launched last week and is now open every Friday and Saturday.
