Canberra’s 2015 Miss Universe entrant Simone Luker, pulls out her fashion artillery in this green and black ensemble.

We spotted Simone on her way to a night at the Open Air Cinemas, and she knows the value of layering. Canberra’s recent unpredictable weather called for a gorgeous long-line military green overcoat.

Simone approaches fashion with military precision. She wears green tones to make her green eyes pop, and tights to accentuate her long lean model legs (that we secretly all wish we had!).

The addition of a gun-metal body harness adds just the right amount of metallic flash to this clean line look.

We wish Simone all the best in March for the 2015 Miss Universe heats!

Creative Chic

Emily, 22, Graphic Designer from Gordon.

I spotted Emily in Braddon on her coffee break looking very chic.

She was wearing this black, white and mustard colour block dress from Cue. It came with a slim black belt and she paired it with a pair of black ballet flats from Myer, which was perfect given her super-model height.

Emily's accessories included her Pandora charm bracelets, which show a touch of her 'indie' side, and a burnt orange Fiorelli clutch purse which can be dressed both up or down.

I love spotting creatives and seeing what they've 'thrown' together each day!

Janette Lenk - My Style

I keep getting complements on this Portmans skirt, I find it perfect for work and perfect for play. It has heaps of detailing in the actual style of the skirt and it brings lots of texture, which I love.

It's super easy to match with too. You can go a white, black or grey T-shirt... OR you can spice things up by styling it with coloured singlets and more prints! I am really very lucky to own the Cartier love cuff - this piece goes with everything! My taste in style, shows how much I love, high end designer brands and mixing them with everyday good quality brands.

This will definitely be one of my go-to outfits. It’s awesome because all I have to do to change the feel is add a white T-shirt, a tan wedge shoe and change the clutch to a small side bag for the perfect weekend look. There you have it! One skirt, two looks!

Add Some Quirk to Your Summer Work-robe

Where do you spend most of your time? That's right.. work! We spend approximately eight hours a day, or 40 hours a week, at work! So why not be stylish?

When it comes to truly expressing your personal style, I know lots of ladies who save it only for the weekends! And then they save it (and save it) for that perfect weekend outing or event until the gorgeous dress or blouse they bought has been hanging lonely in the closet for over 6 months....

Sound familiar?

Why not be a little daring and add that 'quirk' to your summer work-robe?

The best place to try new styles - within reason, of course, is the office. If you buy a new pair of shoes for a wedding on the weekend, it makes sense to wear them in during the week at work.

I am loving Co-ords for work this season - and probably for the rest of the year to be honest. They are a modern take on the corporate suit, and are available in shorts, shirts, skorts, shirts, button-downs and blazers in a almost endless range of colours and patterns.

Go on, buy something fun and quirky that you have always wanted to try before! We bet your colleagues will only have lovely things to say about your new found style!

Last week we spilled our 5 Style Resolutions for you to try! Click here to catch up on the article.

Fitness Fashion

Looking good while working out will not only help you stick to your New Year's health & fitness resolutions, you will also feel great before, during and after!

The health & fitness trend is set to turn up a notch in 2015, so why not get yourself familiar with all the new brands, products and types of fitness to find out what works and looks best on you.

Here's a few simple tips to staying stylish when working out:

1. Wear a sports bra that fits.

There is nothing worse that being uncomfortable while working out! Make sure you get a sports bra with the correct fit. You can have the shop assistant help you with sizing to make sure there aren't any ill-fitting areas or cutting-in, and to make sure it provides enough support. A por fit can lead to injury, sore-ness and aching in the long run.

2. Invest in proper gym wear.

Gym wear can be a little more expensive than just throwing on something 'that will do the trick', but it's made with specific fabrics to stop sweat marks appearing, to let your skin breathe and minimise dehydration, or stretchy for all those interesting yoga poses. They also last a lot longer than clothes not designed with fitness in mind. Brands such as Lorna Jane and Lulu Lemon stock some really trendy, colourful singlets, tights and shorts. Great for summer and to spruce up your fitness style!

3. Clear skin, hair pulled back.

There is NOTHING worse than working out with leftover makeup from your workday. First of all, it's not a good look having dark circles under your eyes from running mascara, or foundation marks smeared down your cheeks, (and a super dirty gym towel - YUK!). Secondly, your pores are working overtime to flush out those toxins, so having dirt and grime will only help you produce another pimple.

Also, put your hair into a high bun or ponytail. If you're trying to impress a boy at the gym you might think your hair looks better down, but once it gets all tangled and sweaty... zero chance, babe!

4. Shoes

Your shoes must be chosen based on your preferred style of fitness. If you do lots of running and walking, it is worth seeing a specialist at somewhere like The Athletes Foot to do a proper assessment on your feet. They can determine if one foot might need more support than the other. Say goodbye to sore, achy feet. A brightly coloured or patterned shoe is perfect for your fit-robe.

5. Accessories

These are limited to a snazzy water bottle, gym towel, head and arm sweat-bands, a Fitbit step tracker, a hat and head-phones ONLY. Take all your jewellery off or leave at home - there is nothing worse than the constant clinking sound for others around you.

With the extra 'feel good' endorphins and a load more energy, you'll be wondering how you didn't do any of these things in 2014...

Get in, sit down and feel the energy. That’s the simple philosophy of AKIBA, the fast-paced restaurant and bar in ACTEWAGL House that does ‘eclectic’...

What does your shoe choice say about you?
