Tailored Texture

Luckily for us, Jess Brown, 28, was style-stalked at the 'Compassion with Fashion' event on Saturday 21 February.

What I liked about Jess’s outfit was that it had a range of textures and styles - such an eclectic mix.

We loved her draped vest from Supre and her balloon-shaped pants by Rumour with textured pockets.

Jess is a hair dresser and was working backstage at 'Compassion with Fashion'. "I love mixing patterns together" she said. She even added a pop of colour to the mix, wearing MAC's 'Girl About Town'.

Sometimes too much, is not enough! This look is certainly one I will try to replicate in the future.

Sunshine Lunch at Kingston Foreshore

I spotted Sam, a student, on a sunny Saturday afternoon along the Kingston Foreshore. She was looking incredibly trendy and standing out in minimal colours.

She was a picture of femininity in her outfit - particularly her delicate heels and pleated white skirt that had caught my eye.

Sam had dressed to celebrate her mum's birthday at lunch, wearing a top, skirt and bag from Sportsgirl, and shoes from Betts.

This girly and simple outfit was a perfect match for the occasion and weather!

Dazed and Confused - The Skort

From afar, I noticed that Shannon was wearing a striped skirt and top combo. But then when I approached her to tell her how much I liked her matchy, matchy look... she told me that it was actually a skort jumpsuit!

How fabulous... I love these!

Mixing different colours and patterns (done with the floral shoes) keeps your look interesting. We love the floral clash with the stripes - it creates a fun look for a Saturday night outing after the National Multicultural Festival.

Shoes - Urban Soul

Skirt jumpsuit - Bardot

Bag - Toni Bianco

Cuff - Mimco

Watch - Armani Exchange

Earrings – Collette

Effortless Style

The warm, busy and homey vibe of Penny University was what drew me inside on a slightly cool, overcast day in Kingston and also where I spotted Ellie, in her entirely trendy and hipster outfit.

It reflected her personality to a tee, making Ellie about as cool, interesting and friendly as they come. The co-owner of the Kennedy Street coffeehouse wore a Stussy dress from Newtown Sydney, a Neuw shirt (also from Newtown), Converse shoes from Platypus and of course that gorgeous, eye-catching hat which she picked up on her travels in Nice, France.

I really enjoyed chatting with Ellie and discovered that her choice of dress is most often inspired by an employee who also dresses as effortlessly and with such style. Co-owner of a business, top personality and great taste in style: This girl clearly has it all sorted.

Nice one Ellie!

Preparing For Winter

Cassie, 23, Marketing Assistant

Spotted at Lonsdale Street, Braddon wearing a stylish and comfortable outfit mixing stripes and metallics with a neutral base.

Canberra got a little chilly last week so Cassie wore a little more than usual for Summer, and did a great job at it, creating a minimal yet very fashion forward look as we are about to head into the cooler months.

Zara trench coat, Cos stripe T-shirt, Country Road necklace, Witchery pants and shoes from Seed.
