Art Vs Science talk nerves, keyboards and the French language

At 8pm on a chilly Tuesday evening, I catch drummer, Dan Williams from Art Vs Science, amidst band practice at Sydney's Oxford Art Factory in Sydney. The phone line is bad, due to the shotty reception in Sydney's famous underground club, but I can still hear what I imagine to be a spring in Dan's step, and only 2 days since their second Splendour appearance, who can blame him?


Masterpieces from Paris announced

Masterpieces from Paris: Van Gogh, Gauguin, Cézanne and beyond, an extraordinary exhibition presented by the National Gallery of Australia in association with the Musée d’Orsay in Paris, has been officially announced by the Arts Minister, The Hon Peter Garrett AM, MP. From December 2009 through to April 2010, the Australian public won’t have to travel to Paris to see masterpieces by Vincent van Gogh, Paul Gauguin, Paul Cézanne, Georges Seurat, Pierre Bonnard, Claude Monet, Maurice Denis and Édouard Vuillard—they can visit them in Canberra.

Hilltop in 'state of the art' form

The Hoods were here to grace Canberra on the last performance of their ‘State of the Art’ tour, once again returning to their regular Canberra venue, the ANU Bar.
