For “Reel Inspiración’ don’t miss the 17th Spanish Film Festival, presented by Estrella Damm, screening at Palace Cinema Electric NewActon from Thursday 1- Wednesday 14 May.

Starring in the festival are emotional road-trips, spirited comedies, swindle rom-coms, suspenseful thrillers, stylish dramas, and high-octane action rides – all topped off with some hearty battles-of-the-sexes and plenty of laughter. It’s an unforgettable program of 30 Australian Premieres from Spain and Latin America including Goya award-winning opening night flick Living Is Easy with Eyes Closed and the madly entertaining Witching & Bitching; plus don’t miss the multi-award winning film The Golden Cage, set in Guatamala which won Best Cast at Cannes Film Festival.

Special guest – X Men Superstar Álex González – will be coming to Canberra on Sunday 4 May for an exclusive Q&A in conjunction to the Spanish Film Festival at Palace Electric Cinema. Alex played the mutant supervillian ‘Riptide’ in X Men: First Class and will be in Canberra to promote two of his films which will be screening at the Spanish Film Festival. Álex is perfectly placed as the lead in this year’s festival film Scorpion in Love, in which he performs, alongside both Carlos and Javier Bardem, as Julián, a neo-Nazi who experiences a rebirth through boxing. He also stars as Mikel in another film from this year’s festival programme, Combustion. How exciting Canberra!

With thanks to Palace Electric we have 10 in-season double passes (excludes special events) to giveaway! To enter fill in the form on the right and tell us ‘which film you are itching to see and why?’.
