Transit bar got its fair share of quality Aussie hip hop beats on Thursday the 3rd of February with up and coming hip hop act Thundamentals.

Local hip hop favourites D’opus and Roshambo kicked off the night with some of their own material, as well as covering some well-known crowd favourites by acts such as Bliss and Eso.

The guys wowing the crowd with their impressive turntable skills, also playing some new material that I’m sure we will be hearing a lot more of in the future.

Once Thundamentals hit the stage, they quickly had everyone on their feet.

Crowd favourites of the night were ‘Move It Up’ and ‘The Mash’, both off their debut album ‘Sleeping On Your Style’.

M.C’s Jeswon & Tuka won the crowd over when they dropped some beats about Canberra and the Transit Bar crowd, while DJ Morgs was busy impressing with his fresh turntable skills.

With their can’t-sit-still tunes and energetic live sets, Thundamentals will be one group to keep your eyes and ears open for.
