Things aren’t always what they seem after dark at the National Museum…

The National Museum of Australia invites you to experience a night of chance in the latest instalment of their blockbuster Night at the Museum series on Friday September 18th. For one night, experience the chances others have taken, and take some of your own. A night complete with bars, food and music.

Take a chance. Experiment with the unknown in the face of failure or wild success. There are no guarantees.

Get set for an evening of chance encounters. A fighting chance to win ultimate power and glory, a chance encounter with something to make your heart race, the chance to become a rock star (even if only for 3–5 minutes). Learn to dance with Dancehall classes, take your friends on in a Gladiator dual and experience the unknown when you take a Virtual Reality trip through space.

Find out the real story behind the famous saying “You’ve got Buckley’s chance!”, hear from Dr Charley Lineweaver as he explores the chance we are not alone in the universe and discover how chance plays a part in people’s lives through the stories featured in the Museum’s collection.

Don’t forget to collect your token at the end of the night to kick on at Lucky’s Speakeasy at QT Canberra for the After-party!

Friday 18th September 6 – 9:30pm
Over-18’s only
Entry $10, FREE for Museum Friends (Full Members)
