Foreshore Sound Search 2012 is now open!

Are you a young musician or DJ and want the chance to play alongside Tiesto, Calvin Harris, 360 and Example? OutInCanberra, Kicks Entertainment and Raw FM are proud to announce Foreshore Sound Search 2012.

All aspiring musicians and DJs are encouraged to enter Foreshore Sound Search 2012. Sound Search gives one live act and one DJ the opportunity to play on stage alongside some of the world’s best talent.

All you have to do is register your music at www.foreshorefestival.com.au before the 30th of September 2012.

Each entrant has to provide a press quality image, a bio of no more than 100 words, a Soundcloud link with an original track or 20 minute DJ mix, a website and or Facebook link and contact details (for Kicks Entertainment use only). The competition will be divided into two regions: Wagga and Canberra, based on your postcode.

From the 1st of October until the 22nd October 2012, the public will be asked to vote for their favourite DJ and their favourite live act.

Thw top three Djs and top three live artist from each of the two regions as voted by the public will battle against each other in the live finals. There are two live finals and they will be held at Romano’s Hotel in Wagga and Academy Club in Canberra.
The finalists will be judged on crowd interaction, crowd reaction, originality and skill. There will be one winner from each final.

The winning act will plat on stage at Foreshore 2012, alongside Tiesto, Calvin Harris, Example, 360, Major Lazer, Naughty by Nature, Daniel Merriweather, Illy, Dash Berlin, Ball Park Music and many more.
