In the first few months, rumours circulated that the QT Hotel brand – already a wild success in Sydney and the Gold Coast – was coming to Rydges Lakeside. Barely six months later our city has fallen in love with the energetic and irreverent feel of the QT Canberra.

During December, if you book a table for four or more at Capitol Bar and Grill, you’ll be treated to a complimentary glass of G.H Mumm Champagne and our Seasonal Antipasto Plate to help get you in the festive mood. Not only is this a classic Champagne from one of the great houses of the famed region, its high content of Pinot Noir makes it the perfect pairing for Capitol Bar & Grill’s award-winning menu.
There’s also a rather wonderful Christmas lunch on offer, if you feel like sparing your kitchen from the chaos of the usual family festivities. For the fixed price of $175.00 you’ll enjoy a flute of Perrier Jouët Champagne on arrival, before sitting down to a four-course spread featuring a decadent ‘fruit of the sea’ platter, wood roasted duck, hand-made crayfish and crab pasta and many other delicious options.
We were particularly taken by the home-made Limoncello that serves as a palate cleanser before the individual Christmas Puddings are served. It all looks very delicious!
