1. Wine, Dine & Explore at Lerida Estate

Make the most of this second long weekend by enjoying a day, or three, out in the sun at Lerida Estate Winery.
It’s a fantastic drive up the Federal Highway to Lake George, and the team at Lerida has filled all three days with activities. No matter if it’s a brief stop-in for a break, or a full day taking in the many options to eat, relax and enjoy, there is something there for everyone.
2. Couples Don’t Talk

A Canberra-based show consisting of five short plays involving thought- provoking insights into relationships and the struggles that are involved. The show is expected to be a hit as the co-writer and producer Vince Melton’s previous show ‘Blokes Don’t Talk was extremely well received by audiences and critics back in May this year.
3. The Italian Film Festival
Palace Electric Cinemas until Sunday 12 October
It’s a great opportunity to cast a light upon a culture too often seen through the lens of conflict and tension. This year’s Israeli Film Festival brings an amazing range of short films, documentaries and features to the fore. Grab a book of tickets and save yourself some shekels.
4. Bindi Irwin at Floriade (Commonwealth Park)

11:00am – 11:30am, 1:00pm – 1:30pm & 3:00pm – 3:30pm
Catch Bindi Irwin, the enthusiastic wildlife conservationist and award-winning international celebrity, who was only 3 years old when she made her television debut on The Crocodile Hunter Diaries. She will be making three appearances in The Inspiration Hub and you might even be lucky enough to meet her and have a chat. This is also the second last weekend that you’ll be able to immerse yourself amongst the blooms and ‘smell the roses’ at Floriade 2014 and the weather is set to be fantastic.
5. Les Bistronomes in Braddon

Sunday from 10.00am until 3.00pm
The newest restaurant to hit the trendy streets of Braddon is Les Bistronomes, a fine dining french restaurant with a fantastic menu featuring many french favourites including snails.. yes you read that right. Pop in for a little taste of Paris this long weekend.

The newest RnB hot spot hits Canberra tonight and is set to be a biiiiig night full of entertainment. All the way from Sydney is DJ Ziggy on the decks and special appearances from Tey, who will also be performing some of his own tracks, Ash Bubulay Selva on the rap game and the amazing Twerk Queens from Subsdance Studio will be heating up the dance floor. Ladies receive FREE entry until 11pm, otherwise it’s $15 on the door.
