After the Rain is the latest chapter in the National Indigenous Art Triennial, opening 6 December at the National Gallery of Australia.
This exhibition is a true display of art that speaks to resilience, renewal, and the power of Country has been curated by acclaimed artist Tony Albert (Girramay/Yidinji/Kuku-Yalanji peoples). After the Rain is a landmark exhibition that brings together 10 large-scale, multidisciplinary installations from established and emerging First Nations artists across Australia. Through sculpture, painting, ceramics, and immersive experiences, these works explore intergenerational legacies, cultural identity, and cycles of rebirth.
Featuring artists such as Vincent Namatjira, Aretha Brown, Dylan Mooney, and the Hermannsburg Potters, the exhibition offers a powerful platform for dialogue and reflection. It’s an invitation to sit, engage, and respond to stories told through the universal language of visual art.
Entry is free, and the exhibition runs until 26 April 2026 before touring nationally.
Viewer discretion is advised for works depicting themes of violence and death.
