Motorsport’s Ultimate Regional Garden Party.
The Canberra Festival of Speed returns for its third edition in 2026, delivering two unforgettable days where motorsport excellence meets festival style atmosphere at Thoroughbred Park.
Renowned as motorsport’s ultimate garden party, the Festival of Speed showcases some of the world’s most exciting two and four-wheeled machines, combining live circuit action with premium food, culture, and community experiences.
On Circuit
The exhibition circuit delivers fastpaced, everchanging action throughout both days. A diverse mix of vehicles rotate regularly, ensuring there is always something new to see as supercars, historic race cars, motorcycles and Australian motoring icons take to the track in live demonstrations.
It’s immersive, dynamic motorsport designed to be enjoyed up close.
Off Circuit
Away from the track, the festival offers a relaxed, open-air atmosphere designed for all ages.
Spread out on the shady lawns and enjoy:
- A vibrant European inspired food village
- Premium food and beverages from local producers
- Motoring trade stalls and exhibitors
- Static vehicle displays featuring rare and iconic machinery
This balance of speed and serenity is what makes the Festival of Speed truly unique.
Legends of Motorsport Dinner – Saturday Evening
New for 2026, the inaugural Legends of Motorsport Dinner takes place within the festival grounds on Saturday night.
Headlined by Canberra Festival of Speed ambassador and Australian motorsport legend John Bowe, the evening also features Supercars Championship drivers and proud Canberra natives Cam Hill and Zach Bates.
Together, they will share stories and insights spanning more than half a century of Australian motorsport in an intimate and memorable setting.
Please note: Dinner tickets are sold separately, and all dinner patrons must also hold a valid Festival spectator ticket.
Community and Sustainability
The Canberra Festival of Speed proudly supports social and environmental sustainability initiatives, including partnerships with Hands Across Canberra, engagement with local car clubs, and the involvement of more than 50 ACTbased vendors and service providers.
Environmental initiatives include organic waste diversion through worm farming and solar power generation at Thoroughbred Park, supporting ACT Government sustainability goals and reducing landfill and emissions.
