Pizzeria Officina opens on Lonsdale Street.
Braddon’s dining scene just got a little more old-school cool. Pizzeria Officina has rolled into Lonsdale Street, transforming a former mechanical workshop into a laid-back pizza factory with a nostalgic twist. Think racing posters and leftover tyres, this is pizza with personality.
Officina (Italian for “workshop”) keeps things casual: no table service, no fuss, just great pizza, good drinks, and a space that feels like a nod to Braddon’s automotive past. Grab a beanbag, pull up a stool, or take your pizza to go.
The Menu
This is where things get exciting. Chef Picco is slinging pies with a 48-hour fermented sourdough base, and the lineup is a mix of Italian classics and bold custom creations:
- Margherita – San Marzano tomato, basil, buffalo mozzarella, parmesan.
- Diavola – Hot sopressa, ‘nduja, pickled chilli, hot honey, and parmesan for that fiery kick.
- Quattro Formaggi – Four cheeses, pickled fig, honey, and walnut—rich and indulgent.
- Michelangelo’s Pepperoni – A pepperoni lover’s dream with Calabrian chilli and whipped cream on the side.
- Surf & Turf – Prawns meet ‘nduja with vodka sauce and stracciatella.
- Big Mac Pizza – Wagyu beef, burger cheese, pickles, mac sauce, and a sesame seed crust. Yes, really.
Gluten-free bases and vegan cheese are available, and crust lovers can dip into garlic mayo, jalapeño mayo, chilli oil, or hot honey.
Don’t skip dessert: the Pizza Dolce with dulce de leche, mascarpone, strawberries, and hazelnuts is a showstopper, and the tiramisu is pure comfort.
Pair your slice with natural wines, craft beers, or cocktails from next-door neighbour Bar Outro. There’s even Lambrusco by the glass for that authentic Italian vibe.
