The only thing better than Christmas dinner? Getting to eat it twice a year.

Forget the stressful family logistics, wrapping paper disasters and pretending you know where the good serving platter is. This is all about mulled wine, roast turkey, glazed ham and a proper winter feast in one of Canberra’s most charming country settings.

Country Charm on the Southside

You don’t need to leave Canberra for a cosy country escape. Tuggeranong Homestead is sitting right on our doorstep, offering historic charm and open space.

For one day only, the team is preparing a proper sit-down festive feast, complete with all the Christmas comfort food you’d expect, minus the family squabbles that come with cooking and cleaning.

We’re already planning on wearing our most forgiving pants.

The Main Event

Things start with a glass of warm mulled wine on arrival, which in our opinion, is exactly how all winter lunches should begin.

From there, it’s a full Christmas spread. We’re talking slow-roasted turkey, award-winning maple and orange glazed ham, hearty seasonal sides and all the trimmings you usually have to fight for at the family table.

Save some room for dessert though, because they’re also serving up a traditional brandy-soaked plum pudding which is worth the trip alone.

Choose Your Session

You can settle in for lunch at 12pm or make a night of it with the 6pm dinner session, and at $69 per person, it’s a very reasonable price for a festive spread of this scale.

Seats inside the historic homestead are limited, so gather the group, pick your sitting and get your booking in before spots run out.
