On the eastern side of the city, dining options are few and far between. As part of a long term vision to upgrade the entire casino precinct (as well as an imminent refurbishment for the restaurant and gaming floor that will showcase the high standard of the proposed development), parent company, Aquis, has searched the world for talent to set the new direction of business.
Along with the arrival of a new marketing team, Executive Chef Chad Ogden has taken control of the kitchen and assembled an exciting new team. With training and experience at some of the best restaurants in the USA (Daniel, New York and Charlie Trotter’s, Chicago), as well as high-profile stints in Tokyo and Kyoto, Ogden arrives in Canberra following a seven-year stay in Macau where he worked with the MGM company and Sands China.
The combination of Chad’s experience and Aquis’ determination to make an impact on Canberra is a winning combination for Natural Nine, Casino Canberra’s in-house restaurant. With a menu that showcases delicious meats and fresh vegetables, there are subtle-but-exciting flourishes throughout the menu that are very much a result of Ogden’s international experience.
It’s looking like a very exciting six months for Casino Canberra and Natural Nine. Head over to the east side of the city to witness the evolution of this important precinct. Change is definitely in the air.
