Canberra Comedy Festival 2013

The Canberra Comedy Festival is currently on and will be running until Saturday 23rd March 2013.

The Canberra Comedy Festival will be presented across a number of venues around the ACT, including the Civic Pub and the ANU Arts Centre.

The Canberra Comedy Festival team consists of members from the local community including Tim Duck, Jay Sullivan, James Stevenson, Benjamin Stevenson, David Graham and Pat Hornby.

Some of the performers include Akmal Saleh, Shiralee Hood and Greg Kimball.

Luke Heggie is an up and coming stand-up comedian and you can catch him at the Canberra Comedy Festival.

Starting stand-up comedy in 2010 at a Triple J Raw Comedy Heat in Sydney, Heggie found himself as the Melbourne International Comedy Festival National RAW Winner four gigs later.

Perfection on a plate

I’m often asked what my favourite Canberra restaurant is. I stroke my chin, look up at the sky and pretend to think about it for a moment, then answer ponderously with the same name every time, as though it was an extremely tough decision to make. It wasn’t. My favourite restaurant is Flint in the Vines out at the Shaw vineyard Estate in Murrumbateman, so imagine my sheer delight upon hearing I was to head out that way for a review last week.
