The Australian Polish Film Festival

The National Film and Sound Archive will be celebrating the re-emergence of Polish cinema by showcasing a new selection of films from Thursday, 18 October until Saturday, 20 October at Arc Cinema.

After strong themes of moral anxiety, the Solidarity’s opposition movement and the fall of communism throughout the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s, these films focus on the nation in the 21st century – although the country’s past is not forgotten.

Admission to all Australian Polish Film Festival session is $15 (no concessions).

Recap: All Our Friends At Night

The Refectory at UC was turned into nightclub on Friday night for the highly publicised event All Our Friends At Night. Bringing the acts from Parklife to Canberra, CHARLI XCX, RIZZLE KICKS, HERMITUDE, CHIDDY BANG and JACK BEATS rocked the nations capital with PEKING DUK and OFFTAPIA supporting.

Peking Duk played a great set and were a great act to kick start the night as people slowly entered the venue.
