UCU Bar

Located in the heart of the University of Canberra, the UCU Bar has existed for close to 30 years. With a predominantly student based clientele, but catering for all vistors, the UCU Bar is fast becoming the place to be for live bands and late night entertainment.

With a capacity of 825 the UCU Bar is a fully serviced bar with pool tables, huge outdoor beer garden as well as a ticketek facility. It’s a fantastic place to meet between lectures, after work or late at night at an infamous bar night.

Come and smoke up the dance floor on Thursday’s for Bar night with live DJ’s playing the hottest top 40/R’n’B hits. There is also special live entertainment every week including bands on Wednesday and Friday nights. Enjoy free pool on Tuesday’s and a free BBQ and live entertainment on semester Wednesday’s.

Being the home of “Stonefest” (Canberra’s biggest music festival) UCU Bar has a great reputation for hosting live entertainment and organising functions. The Bar is available for hire for events, offering two generous sized function rooms.

The Refectory can hold up to 1900 people. With experienced event staff your next event will be one to remember if you hold it at the UCU.
