Friday Fresh

We spotted Maty Saks heading into the city one friday for afterwork-drinks... and looking fresh!

Maty is a public servant by day, a part-time personal trainer for Detox Fitness and a DJ by night. It’s amazing he even has time to put together such a rocking look!

His style echoes the old school hip-hop and RnB tracks he is known for mixing. Maty’s carefully curated outfit is a modern take on the style of fresh Prince of Bel Air.

The vest worn is a jacket that Maty has had altered to suit his individual style.

Outfit breakdown:

Gucci sunglasses

Nike Cap

G-Shock watch

Chicago Bulls jersey

David and Goliath altered vest

Green with Envy

What a gorgeous jumpsuit! Philippa's chic and stylish outfit caught my eye from a mile away.

Simple, yet worn with statement! We love that it shakes style up a bit and Phillipa has accessorised the outfit perfectly.

We have seen lots of chartreuse and lime green come through the stores lately. Jumpsuits are great for going out in summer, but just be careful with how the fabric falls at your waist. Belts are an easy way to stop extra material from bunching up around unwanted areas, and a chic accessory too!

Phillipa wears:

Jumpsuit from Sheike

Silver belt from Kookai

Shoes from Wittner

Karen Coe was a stand out at the Marque Melbourne Cup event at Albert Hall last week.

We thought she had the perfect complete outfit and it was no surprise that she was the runner up at the Marque 'Fashions on the field' competition.

Karen brought out and played up the colours in her dress by complementing them with her purple glove (very classic) and her gorgeous purple and green head piece.

Her dress was from Veronica Maine and the head piece she hand-made herself! Bright and colourful to suit the spring weather.

Nicole was spotted at the mussen VIP night held at their super-cute boutique in Braddon last Friday night.

The balmy evening set the perfect scene for Nicole’s style. She teamed her favourite pair of jeans with a pretty floral top - instantly providing a dressed-up touch, and just the right amount of glam for the night.

Nicole's choice of tough accessories meant her look was perfect for a night out on the town with cocktails following the event.

Nicole wears: ZARA top, Bardot jeans, Therapy heels and Colette by Colette Hayman clutch.

Carly's 7 Tips For Flawless Summer Skin

OMG... There are only three sleeps until the calendar flips over to 1 November, which means.... IT'S ONLY ONE MONTH UNTIL SUMMER!

And we all know what that means: shorter sleeves, higher hemlines and (gasp!) swimsuits. Before you freak out and start running around the office, here are a few tips to get your skin ready for another relaxing and unforgettable Aussie Summer!

1. Exfoliate. Exfoliate. Exfoliate.

This is one of the most important things to add to your beauty and skin routine. It minimises the appearance of cellulite and gives your body an overall soft and dewy complexion - plus removes dead skin and makes way for a streak-less fake tan. Use a different exfoliating gel for your face, it should be softer and can be found in most cleansers.

2. Sort out a hair removal routine.

Waxing and Laser hair removal are the most effective, quick and the results last the longest (up to four weeks). Schedule your appointments around your social life, of course, so you never get caught out in any 'hairy' situations.

3. Slip. Slop. Slap!

Sunscreen is VITAL - especially as Australia has one of the highest rates of skin cancer in the world. Protect yourself from the damaging UV rays by wearing sunscreen on your entire body every day. You can also pick up tinted moisturisers containing a high SPF, which is great for if you feel you need more coverage on your face.

4. Drink more water!

Staying hydrated throughout the warmer months is vital for the appearance of your skin, especially your face. It also helps to reduce the tiredness and headaches that spending hours in the sun can cause.

5. Moisturise.

Moisturising is almost as important as drinking water. Your insides need water to stay hydrated and your skin needs moisture so that it doesn't get too dry and cause any flaky spots or cracking! This goes for your feet, knees and elbows which tend to show those yucky signs first.

6. Make a DIY Face Mask.

It's fun to pamper yourself after a day out in the sun, being active or just as a mini relaxation ritual. Here is a recipe for an avocado home-made face mask:

You will need:

-½ ripe avocado

-1 tbsp of honey

-1 tsp of apple cider vinegar

-Blend the ingredients together or mash in a bowl.

-Apply to your face and leave on for 15 minutes. Focus on your breathing and relax while letting it set.

-Rinse off with cool water and a damp cloth.

7. Get Active.

Going for walks, doing some skipping and a few squats/lunges and arm exercises are going to make you feel more confident when it's time to jump into your Summer wardrobes. We know that 30 minutes a day is all you need to get your blood pumping. You'll feel much better in that Summer dress for doing it!
