Misbhv meets A$AP Rocky

The Fashion Vault snapped student Michael John in Belconnen this week. Michael’s fashion flavour is a mix of grunge, street and casual wear.

His favourite brand is Misbhv. The leather jacket featured in this shot is by Misbhv and is one of his wardrobe staples.

“I love this Misbhv jacket because I’m into leather and have an appreciation for patchwork. It also draws inspiration from the past giving it a '70s vibe,” he says.

“One of my style influencers has to be A$AP Rocky as he likes to dress well and it’s not just about swagger."

Like Michael, we should all own a leather jacket that reflects your individual style whether it be plain or adorned. Leather jackets are great for all seasons and are worth the investment.

A vintage statement

Shot by The Fashion Vault, Bede was in Canberra visiting family.

This uni student ops for neutral pieces paired back with a statement piece, such as a bright-coloured shirt. When shopping he likes to mix high and low-end items and enjoys finding unique pieces in vintage stores.

Sydney street luxe

Sydney-sider Susan, was spotted by The Fashion Vault during the recent World Curry Festival in the CBD.

This vibrant woman draws inspiration for her French heritage and loves a good street luxe look.

Her insider tip on shopping is to hit the markets, specifically the Blue Mountain Glenbook Rotary Markets - her fav!

Staple layers

Local artist Luke Chiswell was stopped by The Fashion Vault girls in Braddon while on his way to meet up with a friend.

This humble artist has recently come back from exhibiting in the big apple. Great to see our local artist having an international reach!

Having grown up on the outskirts of Canberra for some time, Luke’s tip for surviving winter is layers and favouring pieces from his friends label Wil Fry.

Military vibes

The Fashion Vault snapped Shantelle on her way to eat at the iconic Pancake Parlour with her friends.

This contemporary hip-hop dancer chooses to dress for function over fashion. Today she unintentionally channelled a military vibe by wearing her dad's (uber warm) army jacket.

“My favourite store in Canberra would have to be Landspeed Records as I can always find something in there to suit my needs and style," she says.

As our temperatures continue to plummet, The Fashion Vault thinks it’s time for all of us to dig out the big winter coats and scarves!
