Bourke Street style

The Fashion Vault is bringing you street style from Melbourne this week!

As we all know the weather in Melbourne is ever changing, as such you need to be prepared for almost any season in one given day.

Walking down Bourke Street in the city, Rebecca was spotted.

"I love to shop vintage and also source clothing from Korean websites," Rebecca says.

"I find Korean fashion to have a point of difference."

We particularly love Rebecca's kitschy bag.

A pop of colour

Simon Anau, manager or Peter Jackson men's wear gives The Fashion Vault some summer styling tips for men.

"My philosophy is to live in colour. In the store I aim to introduce my clients to coloured blazers and pants, while steering away from the traditional black suit," he says.

"For those who are initially uncomfortable with the idea of colour, I slowly introduce them to it by adding coloured accessories to their look, such as lapel pins and pocket squares to ease them into experimenting with colour.

"Some of my favourite trending colours at the moment are green and orange."

Thrift shop fashion

Akelo was spotted in NewActon on Sunday, wearing her newest acquisition to her wardrobe - a vintage pair of JAG jeans.

This bargain buy was purchased from the thrift market hosted by Autolyse in Braddon.

"It was my first time going to the market and I ended up buying quite a few items! And can't wait for the next one," Akelo says.

Her fashion advice is to take your time when you vintage shop as you are bound to find something unique and funky to rock.

Boho beauty

The Fashion Vault bumped into UC interior architecture student, Ashleigh, whose style flowed as effortlessly as her maxi skirt.

“My boots are my ultimate go to. I wear them with everything," she says.

Ashleigh’s style staples also include a mix of basic tops and printed bottoms.

“When I shop I go for patterns that catch my eye. Generally speaking I tend to go for prints with a boho vibe.”

Casual cup style

The Fashion Vault caught up with Spero at Hyatt Hotel Canberra while celebrating the Melbourne Cup.

Spero's sported a casual dapper style with pops of navy and red accents.

"I come to the Hyatt every year with my wife and friends," he says.

"Typically it gets exceptionally hot so I've dressed for the occasion."

Spero's outfit is am mix of Hugo Boss and Zara Men. We especially love his shoes! The red details set off his shirt and pocket square.
