Dapper chap

The Fashion Vault captured Chris at the launch of Braddon's stylish new footwear and accessory store, Peachy Keen.

This dapper chap says he opts for a smart preppy casual look.

"I love to shop online and I don't believe you need to wear head-to-toe brands to look good," he says.

"When I shop I look for classic cuts."

Working in aviation, Chris has travelled the globe and says his favourite cities to shop include Japan and Hong Kong.

"I love the simplicity of Japanese fashion and the cut of their garments," he says.

Indie meets alternative style

Psychology student and model, Zoe, was stopped by The Fashion Vault at Grease Monkey in Braddon.

Her dress sense is a delicate mix of indie, boho and alternative.

"I would say I am attracted to vintage items. I swear I’ve had this denim jacket since I was 17," she laughs.

"I also like shopping at ZARA, specifically i love its range of minimalistic clothing and pieces with interesting textures."

A vision in cobalt blue

The Fashion Vault stopped Tanya at this year’s FASHFEST, looking amazing in this stunning cobalt blue outfit.

We had a chat about her views on fashion...

"Honestly when I dress, I dress for comfort first," she says.

"My go-to item is a leather jacket because you can do so much with it."

The Fashion Vault loves this outfit on Tanya and we think the colouring is perfectly suited to her skin tone too!

Making a statement

ANU student, Ruomeng, was snapped by The Fashion Vault attending FASHFEST over the weekend.

Ruomeng loves fashion and loves to wear statement pieces. The Fashion Vault certainly admires her for puling off a stunning off-the-shoulder top with dramatic cascading sleeves - it was clearly a stand-out piece.

"I use Instagram to get my daily fashion inspiration fix," she says.

"I particularly draw inspiration from Chinese model, Zu An Xio. She has a similar body shape to me and also likes to experiment with different styles of clothing."

Home-grown style

Law and international relations student Jessica was spotted strolling through Garema Place on her study break.

This student loves to wear unique clothing that she sews with her mum.

“I am fortunate that my mum is a seamstress. So often we sit together and collaborate on a design that then comes to life once we visit the fabric stores,” says Jessica.

“The overthrow that I am wearing today is actually one of her creations!”

When The Fashion Vault asked Jessica what her go-to item in her wardrobe was, she replied, “The boots I am wearing have to be my favourite item. They are versatile and comfortable - what’s not to love about them?”
