Academy Presents Trace Capital IV Ft. Darude at Academy Nightclub

Darude is set to take centre stage at Academy nightclub this Friday. Darude is a DJ of many talents including a mixture of tunes created with progressive and uplifting trance, fused with elements of tech, breaks and house. Known for his global platinum-selling track Sandstorm, the night is set to deliver a dynamic energy on the dance floor that’s sure to get everyone moving.

 

Northeast Party House at ANU Bar
8:00pm Thursday 15 September

Melbourne band Northeast Party House has announced their national tour in celebration of the upcoming release of their new album Dare, set to be launched on 9 September. The release is a follow up from the successful 2014 trackAny Given Weekend. Dare was recorded in both Melbourne and London while the group were on tour in Europe and North America, where they played at different music festivals, including UK’s The Great Escape and Dot To Dot. Their songs include a distinctive blend of dance, rock and pop that is sure to get your head bopping.

 

Academy Presents Timmy Trumpet at Academy Nightclub

Currently ranked as Australia’s #1 DJ, there is no denying that this event will have you up on your feet. Platinum-selling artist Timmy Trumpet is no stranger to success, winning Young Musician of the Year when he was just 13, allowing him to be granted a full scholarship to the Conservatorium of Music where he perfected his talent as a solo trumpet player and later progressed into dance music. SAFIA at UC Refectory

The Canberra boys of electronic/indie band SAFIA are back in their hometown this month. The boys will rock stages on their national tour to debut their album Internal – set to be released on 9 September. They are currently sitting on 20 million online streams and have been included in Triple J’s Hottest 100 for three consecutive years in a row. After performing for sell-out crowds nationally, this event is a must attend! Grab your group of friends and come show support for this great example of local talent.

 

Ball Park Music Every Night The Same Dream Tour at ANU Bar
8:00pm Thursday 29 September

To celebrate the launch of their new album Every Night The Same Dream, Ball Park Music will be touring across Australia. Their newest record is set to follow the hugely successful and chart topping 2014 album Puddinghead. The Brisbane indie/rock band are eager to play for their Australian fans and we for one cannot wait! The concert will showcase their latest release, as well as old favourites!

 

Despite Eviction at ANU Bar
8:00pm Friday 30 September

Despite Eviction will be releasing their debut EP Thirteen. Recorded at InTone Studios with Uncle Pedro, the local Canberra band has been hard at work over the last four months to ensure that this release will be one for books. The launch show will also see new tracks performed for an all-time first on the night, as well as their newly released trackGoodbye. Grab your mates, head to ANU Bar and support one of Canberra’s best local acts.
