The Champagne Dame has launched a national Champagne Dinner tour – Sens Inverse, which sees it collaborating with Australia’s top chefs and serving up an exquisite champagne matched dinner, crafted in reverse.

The Canberra event partner is Ottoman, which will be holding a delectable event on Wednesday 12 October.

This national series of champagne dinners will comprise of five courses, with champagne matching each course.

This Global Champagne Day national series of dinners will be accompanied by the story of champagne glassware, told by The Champagne Dame, starting with a chronological timeline of the flute and interwoven with the entrancing history of champagne.

Kyla Kirkpatrick is one of Australia’s leading champagne presenters and is also known as ‘The Champagne Dame’.

Kyla’s transition into becoming The Champagne Dame began when she put her finance’s career on hold and moved to France to further explore her fascination with champagne. She has dedicated more than a decade now to educating people about this luxurious wine.

“There’s a thirst for knowledge as to where wines come from, how they are made and why they are special,” Kyla explains.

“It is amazing that people are still using the incorrect glass shape for champagne. The Krug family has recently taken a stand and asked for the flute to be banned. It is very controversial, but about time.

“People are wanting to learn more about this amazing wine but we need to go back to the basics of etiquette and service.”
