With all these new cafés, restaurants and bars popping up across the city, it’s hard to keep up with the program and know which one to try first. If you have yet to venture out to the far stretches of Gungahlin then the new Casey Market Town is definitely worth the trip! Burger with the lot automatically attracts your attention with its attractive menu, meaty treats and amazing aromas. Whether it’s for a Friday night takeaway or to bust a midday hunger – Burger with the lot is one to keep in mind


 

The Bearded Bean
3/21 Genge Street, Civic

Located in the city, The Bearded Bean is the new go-to for a cuppa in Civic. The café promotes quality coffee and hearty food – the perfect escape during the winter months with plenty warmers to keep you satisfied.


 

Imperioso
134/24 Lonsdale Street, Braddon

Taking over the retail space of the old Farmer’s Daughter at Mode 3, Imperioso is a traditional Italian café serving up coffee, pasta and paninis. With friendly service and delicious eats and treats, this is definitely one to try!


 

La Mono
Coming soon to Lonsdale Street, Braddon

Signs have been hung and our tummies are rumbling just looking at some of the amazing dishes to be served at La Mono. Set to open up next door to Yat Bun Tong, La Mono is fully licensed and serving up charcoal chicken and Lebanese cuisine.


 

Binny’s Kathitto
5 Lonsdale Street, Braddon

Binny’s has already made a splash at the Hamlet, and now they are moving out of the food van and into a space all of their own. Next door to the Schnitzel Haus, Binny’s Kathitto is the first authentic Indian street food restaurant in Canberra offering diners a diverse range of dishes from the south region of India.


 

Tasting China
108 Bunda Street, Civic

Taking over the former space of Bunda Street’s Chairman & Yip, Tasting China is set to revolutionise the Asian foodie scene. With a colourful storefront creating FOMO all over town, Tasting China are yet to release any information online or on social media so stay tuned!


 

The Pedlar
65 Constitution Avenue

The Pedlar prides themselves on being Campbell’s first local pub. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week, The Pedlar serves up all your pub classics, as well as all the frills of your favourite café. Make sure you check out the local this week!


 

Casey Jones
15 Kingsland Parade, Casey

Gungahlin is the fastest growing suburb in Australia and the foodie scene slowly catching up. Casey Jones is the newest gastro pub on the scene, making the Casey Market Town even better!

Coming soon to London Circuit

The guys from The Meating Room in Weston Creek are coming to Civic with their newest venture 1onOne. Rumour has it that the name of the venue is a reflection of both the location and the friendly customer service.


 

AKIBA’s newbie

Many have wondered what will take the place of Tongue & Groove since it shut down a month ago. With such an amazing location it seems that the Haringtons (who brought us AKIBA) have a few ideas. At this point all we know are rumours of a two storey eatery … stay tuned for further developments.
