One of only 14 Italian restaurants in Australia endorsed by the ACADEMIA della CUCINA ITALIANA- MILAN. Judged on authenticity, value for money, style, ambiance, use and selection of ingredients and wine list, the ACADEMIA scored L’unico 85% in November 2008.

L’unico, the only restaurant in Canberra to achieve such a prestigious accolade will be featured in the 52 year old Italian panel’s annual publication which is distributed globally later this year.

Serving traditional meals, L’unico Ristorante is family owned/operated and strives for excellence, without the big bill.

You will re-discover Italy when the aromas from the genuine wood-fired brick oven greet you at the door, while it produces a selection of authentic wood-fired pizzas. Using the finest and freshest ingredients imported from Italy and made on the premises, the pizzas are light, crispy and delicious

L'unico stands out from the swarm of restaurants in Canberra for its great food and relaxed atmosphere- with a very old world Italian feel. The staff complete with their black vests and white shirts are attentive and friendly, the surroundings are elegant yet laid back - the perfect recipe to have you feeling content with family, friends and especially that special someone.

Bookings are advisable for larger groups, but you will also find a place in the 130 seat dining room, if it’s a spontaneous decision.
