Australian cosmetics manufacturer, Jurlique, is taking skin care and cosmetics that one revolutionary step further with its ethical philosophy and natural botanical based skincare and cosmetics taking the beauty industry by storm.

The brand is about to drop into the nation’s capital tomorrow, Thursday 13 July, revealing its shiny new store at the grand opening of Canberra Centre’s Beauty and Wellness Precinct.

Beauty radiates from within, so it is paramount that we prioritise our skin care and makeup regime. The cosmetic industry can be notorious for chemically jam-packed products that are unethically tested before it goes to market, but Jurlique has made it its undying mission to put a stop to conventional cosmetic manufacturing by creating a natural skincare range which inspires people to well-being through a connection with nature.

“We do this by using natural ingredients from our own certified biodynamic farm in the South Australian Hills to deliver you radiant, glowing skin,” a Jurlique spokesperson explains.

The farm is certified organic and biodynamic by the National Association of Sustainable Agriculture Australia, and although things are being kept tight-lipped ahead of the opening of Jurlique’s new Canberra store, it can reveal that locals and beauty lovers across the ACT can expect an incredible space and service unique to the anticipated Beauty and Wellness Precinct.

“At Jurlique we use many natural materials in our stores that tell the story of our heritage and farm. Our beauty experts are on hand to offer you a signature consultation to help you determine which Jurlique products are best for your skin and pamper you with our famous hand massage and rose moment.”

Jurlique has some very exciting new products that are currently hitting its shelves. Our top pick is the Rosewater Balancing Mist – an absolute must-have! This season Jurlique has partnered up with amazing artist Belynda Henry, who after spending time on the Jurlique farm, designed a special limited edition formula, that contains precious rose extracts, rose hip extract and marshmallow extract to deeply hydrate and replenish your skin.

“Jurlique takes nature and bottles it on the inside, while I capture nature and present it on the outside,” Belynda says.

With Canberra’s notorious cold weather well and truly here, we need to be extra careful of the winter elements that contribute to our skin’s need for increased protection and nourishment.

“Think of our lifestyles – less water, more caffeine in hot drinks like coffee and hot chocolate, heating, cold wind and hotter showers. No wonder our skin needs some extra TLC.”

If this sounds a bit too familiar, make sure you pick up one of Jurlique’s face oils. Each face oil is pure and fine which allows them to carry natural antioxidants and its certified biodynamic, vitality-rich, botanical blends deeper within the skin to assist in healthy skin cell formation. Rich in essential fatty acids, the oils contain the nutrients our skin requires to produce an effective barrier to shield it from environmental aggressors and give a much-needed moisture boost.

“The best advice is to invest in your skincare ritual. Our makeup is only as good as the skin underneath as since it’s the largest organ of the body it really does deserve some special treatment.”

“Cleanse your skin morning and night and follow with a ritual of products that target your main skin concerns and, of course, boost your skin with regular facial treatments to keep it healthy and glowing.”

The new Jurlique store is flinging its doors open at the Canberra Centre tomorrow, 13 July 9am, located within the Beauty and Wellness Precinct.
