The Paella Valencia is a subtly flavoured saffron rice dish originating from the region of Valencia, Spain. Every region of Spain has its own version of this particular dish, depending on the local produce available in the area. Game and pork products may be used in the interior regions while a variety of seafood could be used in the coastal regions. It contains chicken, along with a mixture of fresh seafood products such as king prawns, tiger prawns, mussels, pipis, calamari and crab. It is cooked slowly over 30 minutes and served in a traditional Spanish Paella pan.
