Googfest is back and bigger than ever before with Sneaky Sound System headlining the free music spectacular on Saturday 4 February.

Rockley Oval at Googong will come alive as thousands of fans turn out for the music festival that has become one of the Canberra region’s biggest live music events.

Australian dance music legends Miss Connie Mitchell and Black Angus McDonald will be dropping all of Sneaky’s big hits including I Love It, UFO, Pictures …. and this year’s exciting new release, I Ain’t Over You.

More than 8,000 people flocked to last year’s show and Googfest 2017 is set to be the biggest yet with a line-up that includes some of Canberra’s hottest new talent including:

5pm: Australia’s National Busking Champion, 15-year-old superstar Lucy Sugerman

5:30pm: Canberra’s alternative high school rock chicks Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers

6pm: The Indi rock talent of Slow Turismo

7pm: Psychedelic indie rock collaborative Young Monks

8pm: Aria award-winning Sneaky Sound System

Project Director for Googong township, Malcolm Leslie has been organising the festival for years and says he’s incredibly excited about the 2017 line-up.

“Googfest is becoming recognised as one of the biggest live music events in the Canberra region so we are thrilled to raise the bar again this year with international stars Sneaky Sound System as our headline act,” he says.

“We also love to showcase the amazing talent that’s home-grown right here in the Canberra area. We will have lots of that on stage again this year.

“The atmosphere at Googfest is what makes it so much fun. Although we have some of Canberra’s coolest musicians on stage, this is an event for everyone.”

Googfest will end with a bang as fireworks light the summer sky so bring a picnic blanket and settle in for an unforgettable evening of live music under the stars.
