The Deckchairs are a prog folk band based in Brisbane Australia. Alongside the intricate fingerstyle guitar, eerie musings of a lapsteel find a home, and the dynamic combination of Brisick/Mitchell rounds out the almost lyrical rhythm section. Having toured the East and West coasts of Australia extensively and appearing alongside the likes of Jeff Lang, Dallas Frasca, Geoffrey Gurrumul and the Fumes, The Deckchairs are poised to release their second EP, Ur, in 2010.
