Palace Cinemas is thrilled to announce it will host a Harry Potter Marathon, POTTERFEST, on Saturday, September 23 to Sunday, September 24 to celebrate 20 years since the publication of the first novel.

After almost selling out at the Astor Theatre in Melbourne, Palace confirmed additional screenings at Palace Electric in Canberra!

The 23-hour marathon will show the eight Harry Potter films, beginning with Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, and will include a screening of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them that released late last year, starring the talented Eddie Redmayne.

Based on British author J.K. Rowling’s best-selling fantasy novels, the Harry Potter film series chronicles the life of a young wizard, Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) and his friends Hermione Granger (Emma Watson) and Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint), all of whom are students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The story centres around Harry’s struggle against Lord Voldemort, a dark wizard who intends to subjugate the wizarding world.

The sequel for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is due to be released next year.

Marathon tickets are now on sale and can be purchased at the box office or by visiting the Palace Cinemas website: https://www.palacecinemas.com.au/events/potterfest/

Tickets are $45 for an adult, $38 for concession and $35 for Movie Club members.
