The Charcoal Restaurant is one of Australia's best known Steakhouses. Since opening their doors in 1962 they have entertained important international, interstate, business and government guests who enjoy the experience of savouring the mouth watering steaks and premium wines.

The top quality and reasonably priced steaks come from Australia's prime beef producing areas sourced by their specialist butcher. The Charcoal Restaurant’s wine list contains Award winning wines to complement their meals from major Australian wine producing areas.

In addition to the top quality steaks, fresh oysters are delivered direct from their Clyde River oyster farmer, and the seafood marinara is made from fresh seafood on request.

All meals are prepared daily by the chefs from fresh produce such as; trout from the Hume Weir; New Zealand lemon sole; fresh fruit and vegetables; bread from their French baker; unusual cheeses for cheese plates; and fresh coffee from their coffee plantation on the Atherton Tablelands delivered overnight.
