When was the last time you had a night at Sage Dining Rooms? If it’s been a little while, we certainly recommend you head back to the Gorman House favourite to see what the team has been up to between visits.

While Sage is a great venue to celebrate a special occasion, it’s also a place where the constantly evolving menu means that there is always something surprising (and delicious!) that you won’t have seen before. The best news is a new five-course menu that showcases the exquisite skills of the Sage team.

It’s the perfect way to experience a range of dishes within the dynamic menu. At only $95.00 per head it’s fantastic value, and means you can visit even more often to watch as the new season’s flavours evolve as the weeks roll by.

It’s worth noting that Sage Dining Rooms is one of Canberra’s most awarded restaurants. Being voted Australia’s Best Standalone Restaurant by the Australian Hotels Association was deserved recognition for a team that has worked tirelessly to provide a standard of service that has matched the output of the kitchen.

The latest move by the Sage team is to bring in Damian Brabender as Head Chef. Damian was Executive Chef at Australia’s only six-star hotel (Emirates Wolgan Valley) and also worked under the three-Michelin Star chef, Pierre Kauffman – so he’s got an incredible range of skills to bring to the restaurant. Damian and his team will build on the successes of Sage to date, and can’t wait to push the menu as they work to include new dishes and combinations almost every single day.

Another great change is that Sage is also now open for a nice, casual brunch on weekends. Commencing this Saturday, you can see how brunch is done the ‘Sage way’ with plenty of interesting morsels moving your weekend indulgence well beyond simply a couple of fried eggs. We’re definitely excited to see what is in store!

Above all, Sage is easily accessed by anyone who loves fine food and wine. The team is excited to share their passion for cooking, as well as their philosophy for providing the very best of local produce and seasonal flavours. While Sage Dining Rooms has been recognised nationally, the team is determined to build on their community of foodies, and deliver you course-after-course of surprise and delight each and every time you visit!
