The Sydney Comedy Festival is Sydney’s biggest annual comedy event, and in 2014 it’s on the road once more bringing the best of the fest to Canberra.

The Sydney Comedy Festival is celebrating its tenth year, and over that time has seen some of comedy’s biggest and best take to the stage to tickle the funny bones of people across Australia. While it has been a potent breeding ground for emerging Australian talent, international acts including Ross Noble, Arj Barker and Stephen K Amos have graced the festival stages year after year, a testament to Sydney Comedy Festival’s quality.

This year’s festival was another stellar success. Not satisfied with entertaining the Sydney masses, the annual Showcase Tour is on the road to bring some of the Festival’s best comedians to 40 towns and cities throughout ACT, NSW, QLD and Tasmania.

Strap yourselves in folks; the best of the fest are set to hit the Canberra Theatre Centre on Saturday 2 August and Cooma Little Theatre on Sunday 3 August.

There is a heap of hand-picked highlights from the 2014 Sydney Comedy Festival, including the low-fi com-rock superstars Smart Casual, the hilarious comic genius Daniel Townes, the rocket-fuelled Nikki Britton, the dry, deadpan wit of Luke Heggie and writer for Triple M Brisbane and stand up trouper Greg Sullivan.

If that wasn’t enough, your MC for the night will be Cam Knight, a stellar comedian whose flights of fancy are sure to keep you on your toes! His solo show, 100 Percenter– explored the idea of embracing everything that life has to offer. The crowd certainly embraced the concept – and his set tore the house down at the Sydney Comedy Festival during April and May.

You’re in safe hands with Cam and the rest of the amazing performers at the 2014 Sydney Comedy Festival Showcase Tour.
