Australia’s premier folk festival event – The National Folk Festival – celebrates the world of folk music and arts and is on again for 2014 this Easter long weekend!

For five days Exhibition Park in Canberra becomes another world for each and every festival-goer. It becomes a magical place, filled with colour and sound. Hundreds of the world’s best musicians come to Canberra to perform daily. There is a wide array of different foods on offer, dance classes, free workshops, arts, crafts and poetry.

With an annual attendance of more than 50,000 people, the National Folk Festival promotes a safe and lively environment where you can express yourself and have a good time with friends and family.

The festival has received many awards including; ‘Winner National Qantas Australian Tourism Award – Best Festival 2009′ and ‘Canberra and Capital Region Tourism Awards – Best Festival Event 2008, 2009 and 2011‘.
